~Half-Decade Retrospective (2026)
Man, had I only made a RateYourMusic account sooner. This blog would've never existed. I've been on a slight Beatles kick as of recently, and found myself a little nostalgic for the younger, spontaneous, directionless me who ran this blog so many years ago. Oh, how we've changed, non-existent reader. I'm out of college, on the other side of a pandemic, have a stable career, care for two lovely cats, and am celebrating my 4 year anniversary today! Still writing about music, now just on YouTube and RateYourMusic-- somethings just stay the same, it seems.
FYI, this is all just stream of consciousness as I reflect on where I've been and where I've gone. I've pretty much culled this site, in accordance with my lifelong battle of an inability to live with any past work of mine more than a few years old. Life is transitory and I shall continue to treat it as such. My contemporary stuff is much better than what you would've found here, I implore you to check that out instead. I still look back at this site fondly, and what it did for me in terms of providing a creative outlet during times of frustration and confusion.
If at any point you've read any of my work, still available or not, know that my heart remains indebted to you for eternity. I'm off socials, my online presence dwindles by the day, but if these words have found you, know that you're still invited to the next steps of my journey. If not, perhaps until 2031 shall Wix & I meet again!
